I am Sommer, a Filipina born and raised in Palawan. I studied journalism at Silliman University in Dumaguete City, and previously worked as a writer for Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff.

I later shifted to working full-time as a freelance illustrator for children’s books and other creative projects. During this time, Straylight was slowly taking shape as my practice for both creativity and devotion.

Today, some Straylight pieces are available in selected stores in El Nido. Each piece is locally produced and hand-prepared in small postcard sizes.

I now live in a tiny kubo in El Nido. When I am not drawing, I am likely preparing meals for my dog Agos, my nine other adopted and rescued dogs, and my cat Momo.
